The short, honest version
This site builds no advertising profiles and shows no ads. There is one measurement tool, and you control how it works: as of August 2026, I use Google Analytics 4 to count visits — which pages get read, roughly where visitors come from. By default it runs cookieless: anonymous, aggregate counting with no cookies set and no persistent identifier. If you press "Allow cookie" in the banner, a Google analytics cookie is set so return visits are counted accurately; press "Stay cookieless" and no cookie is ever set. Either way, I only ever see aggregate statistics, I don't use them for advertising, and Google processes the data under its own policies.

If you use the contact form, the details you type (name, property, email, message) are delivered to me through Netlify, this site's hosting provider, and I use them for exactly one purpose: replying to you. They aren't sold, shared, or added to any mailing list. If you'd like a past submission deleted, email me via the form and it's done.
The site is hosted by Netlify, which — like any web host — processes standard technical server logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
If affiliate links are ever added, this page will say so in plain language, with dates — the same standard the guides are held to.
